Just two months after the death of their older sibling, Rod Stewart announces the passing of their brother

Although each of us experiences the death of a loved one in a unique way, there is one thing that unites all of our grieving experiences: grief is never simple.

It takes time to process and deal with the loss of a loved one or close friend; occasionally, we simply never regain the identity we had before their departure.

So spare a thought for the late singer Rod Stewart, who revealed yesterday that his brother Bob had passed away, just two months after the passing of another brother, Don.

On November 30, Stewart, 77, shared the sad news on Instagram and said Bob had passed away the previous evening.

The Young Turks singer continued by expressing his wish that Bob and Don, who died just two months ago, were playing football with one another in the afterlife.

In a tearful statement, Stewart said that the two deaths had left him without his two closest friends. After the passing of his older brother Don in September, Rod posted something akin with a picture of a crown on a dark background. Don passed away at age 94.

Rod went to a party in January 2019 to honour his sister Mary Cady’s 90th birthday. He paid tribute to her and the now-deceased Don there, praising them for their invaluable assistance on his path to success.

“It’s with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky,” Rod wrote in a post on Instagram to mourn Bob’s passing.

“In the past two months, I’ve lost two of my closest friends. RIP, ‘irreplaceable buddies’ Don and Bob

Rod is currently on tour in his native Scotland, according to the Daily Record. He’s scheduled to arrive back in Glasgow on December 3rd.
